Cambodia sees cultivation of rainy season rice surpass target

The total amount of cultivation of rainy season rice has achieved more than 2.6 million hectares or 101.90 percent of the yearly plan. The country achieved this figure by the third week of August.

This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Veng Sakhon, in a Facebook on the morning of August 20.

The figure is a significant achievement as according to the Minister, rainy season rice cultivation was only able to reach 94.74 percent of the annual target on the same period last year.
