Local cases down, Imported cases up as Cambodia battles the looming ‘Delta’ variant

As Cambodia adjusts to life under curfews, provincial lockdowns and more restrictions,  The Kingdom today recorded another high daily total of imported COVID cases – showing the Royal Government’s wisdom in deciding to implement radical measures to try and stop the ‘Delta’ variant.

Cambodia today announced a daily new cases total of 668, bringing the COVID case total for Cambodia to 76,585 cases.

However high numbers of daily imported cases are causing repeated concern for The Kingdom with another 240 imported cases being announced – bringing with them the danger of the ‘Delta’ variant crossing over the border from Thailand and Vietnam.
