Lockdown to continue if C-19 regulations are not adhered to

The people staying in Phnom Penh capital and Kandal province are warned that if they do not adhere to the government’s guidelines to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus, then lockdown will continue until the situation improves.

In a press conference yesterday, Ministry of Justice spokesman Kim Santepheap warned that the lockdown was to ‘flatten the curve’ of the deadly disease but if the situation does not improve then they have no choice but to continue with the restricted movement order.

However, he added, that if the people fully cooperated and implemented the preventive measures and endured a little hardship during the lockdown, the situation would improve and they can return to normality if cases decline.
